Felt Gasket
Felt gasket is a compressible flexible mechanical sealing component, a part that sits in-between and fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally it covers and fits the intersection between two pieces of metal surfaces. They fill irregularities of imperfect misalignment and uneven mating surfaces on machine parts, typically used to seal the space gap and to maintain that sealing and be under operating conditions, prevent leakage of oil and other fluids between the two objects while under compression.

Composition - Fiber types : Wool felt is the preferred gasket material. Wool fiber is ideal and suitable for making gasket in many ways. Wool felt is a natural and environment friendly material, it can absorb oil and other liquid. Density / Hardness: It is categorized in density starting from 0.18 to 0.25 Grams per cubic cm as Soft felt gasket, 0.32 to 0.36 Grams/cm3 medium hard as semi rigid felt gasket, compact gasket material as hard woollen felt and extra hard are high density having 0.38 grams/cm3 or more which are very stiff and cannot be bend easily.
Thickness:
Felt gasket is manufactured and supplied in different thickness from 1mm to 30 mm or more. We are suppliers of Thin felt gaskets having dimension in millimeter like 1 mm, 2mm, 3 mm are available. Appearance, Colors:

Felt gasket strips have average length of 5 Mtrs, higher length can be produced and joining / pasting is done for higher length. They are rolled and coiled into tape. Felt gasket ring having Outer and Inner Diameter can be dice cut by punch in precision and accurate size.
International Standards:Its Harmonized System of Nomenclature is 5911.90 , if made from wool fiber 5602.21 is also applicable. Made accordance with German Standards specifications of DIN 5419, Indian Standards 1719, American Specifications SAE F1to F13.
